PROS
- The OnePlus 5 is affordable and super fast, with an 18-hour battery. Its camera takes great portraits and low-light shots.
CONS
- It costs more than any previous model, its design isn't anything special and it doesn’t have expandable storage.

I’ve been using OnePlus phones for years now and I love them. I found out about them back when the OnePlue 2 was coming out, I had just destroyed my new Galaxy (the first one with a curved screen, can’t remember the number). An IT guy I knew told me about them and how cheap they were. I wasn’t trying to pay Verizon $1000 for a new Galaxy, and the OnePlus 2 was around $300 new. The catch was you needed an invite to buy one. My IT friend worked that out for me and I got the phone, and loved it. I used it for 3 years without issue and still have it sitting in a drawer in my bedroom in case tragedy strikes and I need a phone in a pinch. This phone (actually the 5t, not the 5) is absolutely great. I originally didn’t like the fingerprint scanner being moved the back of the phone, but I got used to it pretty quickly. I love that these phone come with basic android and that’s it, no bloatware you can’t remove. You can then customize them and build them out however you like. I was really impressed with the battery, I can go all day without having to charge. It also comes with the Dash Charger, it will charge the phone completely in around an hour. I’m a big fan of the all-metal body as well, the construction feels very solid.OnePlus phones are generally comparable to Samsung phones in terms of capability and power, but at 1/2 the price. One thing to consider is these phones will only work on a GSM network, so AT&T or T-Mobile are your only options for major carriers in the US. But you can get a cheap month-to-month plan because you brought your own phone, which is pretty nice.5 Stars: great product for amazing price.**Reviewer is a notorious OnePlus fanboy

Pros-build quality is awesome on this device! I’m very tired of glass-metal sandwiches these days. Charges very fast, but you have to use the included charger for the speed to work. With 8 gigs of RAM, this device will not slow down for a while. Software is very clean.Cons- battery life is horrible. Took out the phone from box at 100%, did a minor setup without even restoring my apps, played a 10 minute video and I was on 68%! Device is still stuck on Android 7.1 when it’s supposed to be at 8.1, getting beta for 9.0. Camera is lackluster in dim lighting even when I turn on the flash.Conclusion- this is my first day of using the phone, so perhaps I’ll get an update on the next couple of days, which will hopefully help with the battery life and camera performance.

Very nice phone, I’m very satisfied with it. Though I want to put it out there that they can come with Android 7.1.1 and the over-the-air update from OnePlus tries to jump all the way to 8.1 and fails to install. To get the changes required to support builds of Android that use project treble, you must stop at 8.0 and then 8.1 and finally 9.0. You can only seem to get these files from their server and you have to scrape an XMP API to figure out what the download link is. I can post details if anyone cares.

English: I’ve always used top-of-the-line Smartphone but without a doubt Oneplus 5 is the best of all the top line I’ve ever had, very fast and fluid, runs all Play Store games and applications quietly, to surf the internet and very fast, the fingerprint reading is instantaneous, it loads very fast (very fast even, without exaggeration), without doubt one of the best in the world, if not the best, especially in the cost-benefit issue. His photographs are excellent, including those from the front camera, as well as 4K videos. Português: Nenhum. English: None.

I got used to Windows Phone which was fast and reliable but get old and unsupported. I also had Android before Windows and there were some flaws. But this new phone is (really!) fast as Windows and doesn’t seem to have problems of those old Android phones. Has many configuration options, and is quite easy in use. Maybe some options need to have more explanation tips, but it doesn’t matter. Camera is crazy fast and in good light it makes really good pictures. Portrait mode works. HDR also (but I think not always as good as on my old Nokia phone). Video modes (slow motion, time lapse) also work nice. There is only one flaw (see cons section). I don’t have problems with WiFi as some other users (maybe new router helps here). Two SIM option is great on vacations. And well it is Android so it has great potential for customization. I didn’t experienced any problem with applications or the system during this month. Phone is without many applications so you will need to install them on your own, but well you can then decide what you will use. Only con that bothers me is lack of optic stabilization for the camera. Sometimes it is annoying to have to repeat photos. But self-timer helps here a little bit. Other cons are small ones but well. It would be good to know if this phone is water resistant and I don’t mean water splash with glass of water (since it shouldn’t be problem) but if I can go to pool and get it into water and make some pictures. Some say it is possible, but there is no official information about that, so i don’t try it. Lack of wireless charging is not really a problem but it would be nice in top model.

The cell phone is incredible, excellent construction, it is very fast, great battery life and good cameras, best cost benefit in the line tops. I really recommend and I am immensely grateful! Nothing
